Rainbow Medicine has welcomed a new practitioner to its Lane Cove team, expanding capacity by approximately 20 hours per week and reducing the new-patient waitlist from three weeks to under seven days. The new appointment brings the in-house clinical team to its largest size since 2019.

The incoming practitioner is a registered allied-health professional with over seven years of clinical experience, including significant work in fertility, IVF support, women's health and Chinese herbal medicine. They join Rainbow Medicine after a selective recruitment process that prioritised both clinical excellence and alignment with the practice's evidence-informed, patient-centred philosophy.

"We deliberately took our time to find the right person," said Dr Christine Shen. "It is much easier to advertise a vacancy than to find a practitioner who shares the standards and the bedside manner we hold ourselves to. We are delighted with this appointment and confident our patients will be too."

Patients can book with the new practitioner from this week. Existing patients of Rainbow Medicine retain their primary practitioner — the new appointment is intended primarily to support new-patient intake, with capacity for some cross-modal referrals. Reception will help match patients to the most appropriate practitioner during booking.

The expansion also creates space for a structured supervision and mentorship programme, which Rainbow Medicine plans to roll out in the second half of the year. Details will be announced separately.
